Topic : Ethics & Compassion

An interactive session was conducted in the school auditorium on 12 July 2019 from 7.35 to 8.45 am. There were 39 attendees from classes VIII to XII as participants. The topic was Ethics & Compassion. There were 15 students who voluntarily came to express their viewpoint & grabbed the attention of one and all. The speakers left no stone unturned to entice the audience. Ethics and compassion was explained to be Sun and Moon respectively. Talent Hunt Competition

"Every Child is gifted and talented"

A talent hunt competition was organised by pre - primary department on 12th April 2019 at school level to encourage the children to come forward and show their talents. All the students of nursery and kindergarten participated in the talent hunt competition. Students showed their talent in various activities. They sang hindi songs , recited shloks and poems, some danced and some of children told stories, some of children performed yoga. The main reason behind organising these competition is to nurture the qualities of students and remove the fear of stage. It is very important to organize co - curricular activities in school which helps in personality development.

Special Assembly 22nd April, 2019

Lester Brown had rightly said, “We have not inherited this earth from our forefathers, we have borrowed it from our children.” Therefore to celebrate Earth Day and to showcase our support for a safer and greener future, Team St. Teresa held a Special Assembly on this occasion. It was a moment of pride when chief guest RO CBSE Dehradun Sri Ranbir Singh addressed the gathering and appreciated the efforts made by team of ST. Teresa School. He made an appeal to make the female child stronger. Hours long cultural program was amalgamation of changes witnessed by time in various spheres consisting variety of dances, skit, mimes and musical presentations. Towards the end of the event participants were encouraged by words of appreciation of Director Sri Vijay Kumar Gulati. Programme concluded with musical performances by music department and vote of thanks by Academic Director Ms. Renu Srivastava mam. CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION (CLUSTER)

An Open Skating Championship competition was held on 21st August , 2018 at Chilla Sports Complex Vasundhara enclave . This skating tournament was by organised by CK Tedant Sports Foundation. Students from various school participated in it.The students of St. Teresa School acclaimed glories for the school with their outstanding performance. 5 students achieved the first position , 4 students achieved the second position and 4 students attained the third position to n different categories. All the winners were fecilitated with medals and certificates for their performance.

EXCURSION TO NATIONAL

ZOOLOGICAL PARK, DELHI (GRADE –I)

An educational trip to the National Zoological Park was organized for the students of class I on 6th Oct 2018. The children embarked on the journey to the zoo on a peppy and excited note. The students enthusiastically spotted the majestic animals and birds like Asiatic Lion, White Tiger, Royal Bengal tiger, ostrich, pelicans and elephants basking in the winter morning sun. They had a wonderful time watching giraffes, tigers, jaguars, elephants, migratory birds and much more. The ‘Joy Ride’ in the battery operated trolleys brought about squeals of laughter and joy. FANCY DRESS COMPETITIONS GRADE-1

Role playing is one of the most important tool of learning. Keeping this in mind a Fancy Dress Competition was organized for the children of class1. The theme of the competition was,"Dolls Of India".

Words make you think. Music make you feel. A song makes you feel a thought. Owing this in mind, our school organized an Inter – House Solo Singing Competition for students of Class Vi to VII on 27 th April, 2018. The theme for the competition was bhajans or sufi song. During the audition each house selected one student each from Class VI, VII and VIII to represent in the finals. HINDI CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITION

Calligraphy is an art of writing beautifully. There is a famous saying: “Writing is the painting of the voice.” Writing is the primary basis of communication, history, record keeping and art. Keeping this mind, our school organized an Inter – House English Calligraphy Competition on 19 th April, 2018. All students of Class VI to VIII participated in it. The competition was held in the respective classes. Students were given a passage to write in 30 minutes. The aim was to encourage students to write neatly and present the content in proper manner, to complete the work within the given time, to make students aware of correct formation of letters and punctuation.

WORLD HEALTH DAY

Our school conducted a special assembly on the occasion of ‘World Health Day’ on 5 th , 2018 to make students understand the importance of the day. On this day, the world leader’s pledge to ensure that everyone, everywhere can access essential quality health services without facing financial hardship. The students imparted this information through an informative speech and shared some interesting facts with the audience during the assembly.

RAKHI MAKING COMPETITION

Raksha Bandhan is a special festival celebrating the chaste bond of love between a brother and a sister. To celebrate this emotional bonding , our school organized a special assembly where the student. Deabte is one of the academic activities that gives students creative room to express what they feel.The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalled. The topic of the debate "indian schools promote creativity in students" was enough to stir the thoughts of enthusiastic participants of different houses. SPLASH POOL PARTY

To cool off the scorching Sun, we organized Splash Pool activity for children of Nursery & KG. Children just set themselves free in the water… and had a real feel of bathing in the beach.

RED DAY CELEBRATIONS

Creativity resides in every child. A right impetus is required to bring forth the innate qualities present in a young toddler. To make the little ones familiar with colour. Students of nursery came wearing Red colour dress. Each student put tag of different red colour fruit and vegetables. Children are awarded Miss Red and Mr. Red according to their performances. Children recited rhymes related to red colour object. Children did paper tearing activity conducted by filling red strawberry in their activity book.

A Grand Investiture Ceremony for the Students Council  at school Auditorium of St Teresa School, Indirapuram Ghaziabad. BLUE DAY CELEBRATION

Blue Day was celebrated in Pre Primary wing to teach the importance of Monsoon. To signify the theme, students came wearing blue colour dress. Theme based activities conducted for young learners like Boat Making with Paper Folding and sticking same on river drawn on scrap book, Finger Printing on cloud, Poem recitation and finally dance number on “Aaj Blue Hai Pani Pani. Students enjoyed a lot and learned about blue colour and rainy season.

International Youth Day

On the occasion of International Youth Day the school has organized a lecture by the distinguished guest Mr. S.K. Gangal, an Ex-Education officer CBSE. During Mr. Gangal's interaction with the students of classes IX to XII, he discussed the constructive role of youth in society. He touched the areas where adolescents find themselves difficult to cope up. He also encouraged them to raise their voice against injustice and mal-practices like ragging, dowry system and discrimination against girl child common in society. Students and teachers thoroughly enjoyed the session and felt that this type of interaction should be organized more often.

St. Teresa School Launched a Cleanliness Drive at the call of our honorable PM Narender Modi. As a whole the nation got activated, our school took active participation throughout the month. Students performed various skits the in morning assembly to motivate the youth. Special pledge to keep the school and surroundings clean was taken by the students and teachers as well. Beautiful poems, posters and slogan were made to spread awareness. Senior students went to nearby park along with their teachers as well as the Honorable Director Mr. R.R. Khanna, Academic Director Ms. Renu Srivastava and Coordinators to clean and create awareness among the nearby citizen.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat

ST. Teresa school organized Ek Bharat Shresht Bharat on 25th jan 2018 three main States such as Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Uttar Pradesh taken into consideration and students were divided into each states, they show case their customs and culture with the help of folk dance. The audience was filled with enthusiasm and was mesmerized by seeing the performance.

St. Teresa School, Indirapuram (Ghaziabad), took a venture to create culture of conversation of environment among the student by teaching kids how to be environmental stewards for a lifetime. Since the school believes in a team work approach, on 16th and 18th August, 2018 the students, teachers and the Academic Director, Mrs Renu Srivastava planted 12 plants around the school premises to achieve this goal. 14 August 2018, St. Teresa School, celebrated Independence Day with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion. Directors of the School graced the occasion. Investiture ceremony

An investiture is defined as the “formal ceremony of conferring the authority and symbols of high office.” It is held during the initiation of new academic session in school, or at the conclusion of the first year. It is an academic ceremony which has symbolized the pursuit of knowledge since the Middle Ages. Today, schools view investitures as opportunities to welcome a new era and celebrate as a community. Adorning with badges and swearing in of a student for position of authority to develop the quality and skill of taking and discharging responsibilities is the prime motto of conducting investiture ceremony in each academic session.

Mother's Day Celebrations

Mother's Day is a special day of the year, dedicated to all mothers .It is celebrated all over the world. Mothers hold a special place in the hearts of children. The students and staff members of ST TERESA SCHOOL were given an opportunity to show their appreciation for their mothers on Mother's Day.

Annual Sports Day-2017-18

The School organized its ‘Annual Sports Meet 2017’ at Commonwealth Games Village, Akshardham, Delhi. Sports meet included Athletics, Tug ‘o’ War, Relay Race and many more performances and events. Teacher’s Training Workshop

Life is eternal and everyday makes us learn something new and learning becomes prolific. To augment this learning process, a Capacity Building training program through workshop for continuous professional development of teachers was conducted at St. Teresa School Auditorium on 19th December 2015 facilitated CBSE. The resource person for the workshop was Mr. Kamalneet Singh from: CBSE-Centre of Excellence It included lot of individual and group activities to enhance their teaching language – skills. The experience proved to be a life time one of all sorts.

KG ANNUAL DAY - MEGHA RE MEGHA St. Teresa School, Indirapuram celebrated the Annual Function of Kindergarten, titled “Megha Re Megha” on 20th December, 2015. The program started with the traditional lamp lightening followed by invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha through chanting of mantras and a dance performance. St. Teresa School organized a Gala Christmas program on 23rd of December in the school premises, where school students and teachers experienced the world of happiness. The program included play based on Jesus Christ’s birth and life happenings. Besides singing of carols, group dance performances added a new zeal among audience. The program was concluded with distribution of sweets and joy was spilled over to all. In the end our Hon’ble Director Khanna sir and school’s Academic Director Renu Srivastava ma’am showered their blessings and wished everyone Merry Christmas....
Later along with fun and festive mood, knowledge was imparted with learning with fun activities in the classrooms with puzzle solving, Festival vocabulary building and Christmas Math Games.
